Pepe Jadi Biang Ribut di Laga Pra-Musim Porto vs AS Roma

Pepe kembali menjadi pemberitaan utama, Bek tengah veteran memulai perkelahian massal itu saat laga pra-musim Porto melawan AS Roma, akibat terjangan keras yang membuat reaksi keras lawannya tersebut.

Selama hasil imbang 1-1 tersebut diantara Porto dan Roma, Pepe melakukan sejumlah tekel yang sangat keras terhadap Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Dan semuanya itu mencapai puncak di babak kedua.

Pepe menerjang sangat keras ke mantan pemain Manchester United dan Arsenal tesebut, dengan beberapa ayunan lengan ke wajah pemain tersebut itu.

Mkhitaryan bereaksi usai terjatuhnya  yang membuat pemain kedua tim itu langsung bereaksi mengerubungi keduanya. Bahkan anggota staf pelatih dari kedua tim tersebut juga terlibat.

Seperti yang disebutkan sebelumnya, bagaimanapun, Pepe tidak melambat sejak meninggalkan ibu kota Spanyol. Dia bergabung dengan Porto pada 2019 setelah dua tahun bertugas di Turki bersama Besiktas, memenangkan Liga Primeira di musim pertamanya kembali serta membantu mereka melangkah jauh di Liga Champions musim lalu.

Dia juga mewakili Portugal di Euro 2020, meski berusia 38 tahun pada Februari. Bukan sebagai cadangan, di Euro 2020 dia tampil reguler berduet dengan bek muda Manchester City, Ruben Dias.
