Kasus penyalahgunaan narkoba yang di lakukan Coki Pardede mengungkap teknik penggunaan sabu yang cukup asing di telinga masyarakat. beritakan bahwa Coki Pardede tersebut
menggunakan Sabu dengan cara menyuntikkannya di bagikan anus nya. Polisi mengatakan, Coki mengaku efek dari obat itu jauh lebih terasa dibandingkan disuntikkan atau dibakar. Metode ini memang sangat belum lazim di Indonesia tetapi sudah menjadi perhatian di bidang medis, khususnya di negara Amerika Serikat itu sendiri. Cara seperti ini dikenal dengan istilah booty bumping atau boofing, ada juga yang mengatakan plugging, hooping, dan up your bum. Penggunaannya tidak hanya untuk sabu tapi bisa juga heroin, kokain serta alkohol.
Ada juga yang menggunakannya dengan mencampurkan sabu dengan air dan disuntikkan ke anus nya. Alternatif memakai injektor pelumas (lube shooters atau lube launchers) untuk melakukan booty bump. Cara ini dianggap cukup lebih nyaman karena bentuknya dirancang khusus untuk memasukkan cairan ke dalam rongga dubur tersebut.
Alternatif yang paling ekstrem,Adalah pecandu narkoba jenis sabut akan langsung memasukkan sabu nya ke dalam anus tanpa ada campuran atau bantuan alat apapun.yang Di masa lalu, kebiasaan ini dikaitkan dengan homoseksual, transgender atau orang yang berkaitan dengan seks anal. Faktanya, boofing sangat mungkin dilakukan oleh semua pecandu narkoba termasuk orang yang tidak suka dengan seks anal.
Seseorang yang melakukan booty bump mengindikasikan tingkat ketergantungan narkoba yang parah. Seseorang yang kecanduan akan berusaha mendapatkan efek narkoba sesering dan secepat mungkin termasuk dengan menambah variasi dan metoda yang dipakainya. Boofing, yang dilakukan dengan memasukkan narkoba ke anus, akan mempercepat seseorang merasakan sensasi high.
