Selepas laga yang berakhir dengan skor 2-1 untuk kemenangan Real Madrid itu, untuk melayangkan protes terhadap insiden yang tidak diindahkan tersebut Koeman melakukan konfrontasi ke wasit. Namun sayang, wasit meyakini kalau kejadian itu bukan merupakan pelanggaran dan tidak mengubah pandangannya.
