Arsene Wenger mengisyaratkan bahwa ia tidak akan mengambil alih pekerjaan Mikel Arteta demi menyelamatkan Arsenal yang sedang memburuk.

Arsenal tidal seangat membaik di bawah asuha Arteta. Malahan mereka makin buruk di liga.
Dari tiga laga yang di jalanin, Arsenal tidak pernah menang sama sekali dan selalu kalah. Mereka dipermalukan ohel Brentford, Chelsea dan Manchester City dan sekali tidak bisa mencetak gol.
Hasil buruk tersebut membuat Mikel Arteta mendapat tekanan luar biasa dari parah fans. Mereka ingin agar Arteta segera mengundurkan diri atau segera dipecat oleh Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger lantas ditanya apakah ia tergoda untuk menggantikan Mikel Arteta di Arsenal. Namun ia mengisyaratkan menolak untuk balik ke Emirates Stadium.
“Saya sudah berusia 71 tahun, lho. Saya sudah memberikan klub ini tahun-tahun terbaik hidup saya,”
Arsene Wenger melanjutkan, Arsenal sekarang ini disebutnya masih dalam kondisi baik-baik saja. Ia pun mendoakan Mikel Arteta agar bisa segera membalikkan situasi.
“Hari ini klub dalam kondisi yang baik. Mereka memiliki dua pertandingan yang sulit, tim memiliki potensi dan saya berharap mereka bisa kembali,” ujarnya.
“Saat ini saya hanya seorang penggemar,” tegas Wenger.
Arsene Wenger sempat menganggur sejak cabut dari Arsenal pada tahun 2018 lalu. Meski sempat dikaitkan dengan sejumlah klub dan timnas, Wenger malah memilih mengambil pekerjaan sebagai FIFA’s chief of global football development.
